Child Counseling in Gainesville, FL

  • The power of using miniatures to tell a guided story in a sand tray can help children express emotions they are struggling with and get creative feedback from a trained professional in a language they’ll understand: Play!

  • Although I provide therapy for both adults and children under 10, I have a designated area in my office where I have a collection of toys, art-supplies, therapeutic books, board games, fidgets, and costumes. I also have a large sand tray with play therapy sand and a collection of miniatures. Kids have free reign when they’re in my office and they often spread out a little play world during our sessions that we clean up together during the end of the session.

  • I am available to talk to parents through the therapy process as it works best when addressed as a family. I talk to parents about ongoing concerns they have and help parents understand their child and come up with support strategies for home.

A warm, inviting play therapy room. Play therapy toys, a sand tray therapy area, Houseplants, toys, and therapy book collection.
