Therapy for Survivors of Relational Trauma

You might be feeling emotionally destroyed, stuck replaying painful memories, and unable to move on from the pain of the past.

Maybe you have lost your sense of trust in the essential goodness of life, yourself, and others. Things might feel hopeless and bleak, but you do not have to suffer in silence. You will overcome.

Therapy can be a perfect place to recover your voice and your inner strength.

Therapy should be a place where you can share the darkest chapters of your life and be met with compassion and understanding. You might feel afraid to look back and open up the pandora’s box of your past.

Perhaps you know it is long overdue and you have reached a limit on how much you are willing to keep pushing down.

You do not have to carry this pain alone and I would love to help you heal and move forward even stronger than before.

I work with clients healing from:

  • Sexual assault or abuse

  • Domestic violence and toxic relationships

  • Childhood trauma, neglect, and abuse

  • Painful memories, stressful dreams, and overwhelming thoughts

  • Losing the will to live, self-harm, and struggling with motivation and meaning

Our work might include:

  • Talking about the past and identifying core beliefs that have held you back

  • Planning strategies to reduce self-destructive behaviors

  • Repairing your self-trust and building self-compassion

  • Learning about healthy relationships, improving your ability to communicate, and healing from shame

  • Nurturing and re-parenting your inner child in order to find more joy in your life

My style is gentle, collaborative, and respectful of your unique experiences. I like to blend Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) techniques with feminist and narrative therapy- so we can honor all the parts of your story while also learning how to become more resilient to stress.

Let’s work together to heal from the pain of the past.

Individual therapy is a place where you can learn to get more comfortable identifying your emotions, goals, and needs. If you are ready to feel more connected, calm, and courageous, I’d love to work with you!
